How To Feel Thankful All Year

Do you ever find it hard to be thankful on cue? It’s the time of year when the Thanksgiving holiday reminds us to be thankful.

Each year has its ups and downs and this year, I’m in the down cycle at Thanksgiving. It’s nothing big, just a lot of little things which should have been easy instead become a hassle. I’ve been thinking about what I’m thankful for that lasts beyond the moment. I think I found it.

I am thankful for love.

  • The kind of love bold enough to look past our differences to see the real person inside.
  • A love which goes beyond human understanding to overcome pain inflicted by others to forgive, knowing forgiveness sets us free.
  • To love or be loved unconditionally is truly rare and something to be thankful for.
  • An unselfish love, full of compassion will bring us joy.
  • A strong love to help us forgive ourselves even when we feel we don’t deserve it.

A love big enough to let go of the past and trust the future.

This kind of love comes from believing in something greater than ourselves. The love which lives within us and moves past human frailty to love the unlovable. This love comes from knowing God and letting Him live within us.

I am thankful I am loved.

Wishing you a life of love and happiness starting this Thanksgiving season!
